3 Weeks From Today!

3 Weeks from today and we find out if we are having a boy or a girl!  Can’t wait!  Ashley and I both have feelings on what it is. It will be interesting to finally find out. The next three weeks cannot go fast enough!

Hopeful News

Good News!

We got a phone call last night that we have a showing of our townhouse on Thursday. We are really excited about this even though we know not to get our hopes up too much. The other two townhomes in our neighborhood that were for sale (and aren’t anymore) never got any viewings so we are pretty excited that we have at least one.

Even though this is great news, it still has me stressed out a bit. We recently moved the girls back into the same room in order to make a nursery.  Their new room is a work in progress to get everything organized and put away. Over the weekend, we picked up all of our nursery furniture so the baby’s room is also being constructed. I stayed up late last night putting the crib together. Tonight will be dresser two of two.

I am confident that we will get everything picked up and organized before the showing tomorrow. Hopefully this showing brings us great news!

Attempt to Blog Again

With the new baby on the way and so many new things going on in our lives, I would like to try and blog more regularly.  I really enjoy blogging but the biggest roadblock is trying to find the time to do so.  To give everyone an idea of what I mean, below is our typical schedule for the week. On the days we have the girls, its differently a lot busier than the weeks we don’t but I wouldn’t trade that time for anything.

There you have it. That is our typical week!

Baby on the Way!

My wife, Ashley, and I are happy to announce that we are expecting!  The projected due date is late March. So far Mommy-to-be is doing good but has experienced some morning sickness. We have officially started our second trimester and are hoping that some of the nausea begins to wear off. We are very excited to share this news with everyone!

New Theme

I have been messing around with a new theme after I bored of the old one. I have used this theme on my other sites and I really like it. The newest version has some great features that  hope to setup soon. What are your thoughts?

More Kidism’s

Chicken Nugget:

Am I ever going to get to play with that stuff in storage or am I just going to have to let my kids play with it?

Chicken Nugget and I were playing the “I Love You More Than….” game. I told her that I loved her more than all the hairs on my head. She responded with:

Oh Dad! That’s not very much!

Craft Girl:

Dad. Do you have one of those six packs yet? (referring to my stomach)  No?  How many more years do you think it will take?

Take Your Kids To Work Day

Craft girl brought this home the other day. She said she did it a few months back before this years Take Your Kids To Work Day. I thought it was cute and wanted to share it.

Google

Tonight Craft Girl was asking me a whole bunch of questions like she always does. Tonight’s subject of choice was Noah’s Ark. She kept telling me all about it. Apparently she had seen Evan Almighty and knew all about Noah’s Ark.  I told her some more interesting facts and that peaked her interest even more.  She proceeded to move onto Ashley with her question asking. At one point she turns to Ashley and asks her if she could get on the computer and Google it. My jaw about hit the floor. My little girl has just asked for her first Google query!  I am so proud of her! I can’t believe how fast kids grow up these days.

Top top it off. Ashley was showing both girls something on her laptop. Apparently not fast enough for Chicken Nugget as she reaches over, works the track pad effortlessly, and clicks on what she wants to see. Ashley sat there, amazed at how quickly and fluidly she was able to handle the laptop mouse pad.  Kids these days are so smart!

Mall at the Church?

This weekend we attended an evening mass with some friends at The Church of the Resurrection in Overland Park. Upon walking into the building, Chicken Nugget looks around and explains “This isnt a church, this is a mall. Why are we at the mall? I thought we were going to church”. Upon walking into the sanctuary, she then asks “are we going to see a concert?”
