Tonight Ashley was telling me that her Mom had just purchased a high chair for the baby. Chicken Nugget was listening and immediately asked “Wait! Grammy is pregnant too!?”
Way Back Wednesday – Home Town Theater
February 3rd, 2011
Tyson I grew up in a small town in Western North Dakota called Belfield. It was nothing more than a small dot on the map but to me it was home and I have many memories of that place. One of them is this theater. I remember going to this theater as a kid with my Dad and watching one of the original SuperMan movies. Then it closed and remained closed for many years. The roof leaked, chairs were ruined, and it was a mess. Then a local businessman decided he wanted to restore it and once again have a place for the people of Belfield to enjoy a movie. Volunteers gathered (I helped paint) to help with the restoration and soon we had the old theater up and running. I spent many a weekend here watching movies during High School. Seeing this picture brings back a lot of memories.

Blizzard of 2011

Tyson I have heard that we received 12 inches of snow. Based on what I have seen out there. I believe it. Here are a few shots of the neighborhood.
Custom Truck Lamp
January 17th, 2011
Tyson Ashley and purchased a metal truck from Hobby Lobby a few weeks back to use as a decoration for our soon to be son’s nursery. One night I was looking at the thing and thought how great it would look as a lamp. So I set forth on a quest to find one of those “make your own lamp” kits from my local hardware store. Not finding what I wanted, I searched the internet, again with no luck. Then I thought why couldn’t I take an existing lamp, take it apart, and uses the pieces for my lamp? And that is what I did.
Below are the pictures of the final project. I don’t think it could have turned out any better. I am very proud of my lamp truck!
This Is the Day

“This is the day that the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it”
Weekly Link Love
November 22nd, 2010
Tyson I am going to start posting links to blogs and sites that I frequent and enjoy. I am hoping to spread the wealth of great sites out there for others to enjoy. For today I am going to start off with blogs that are for Dad’s. Sometimes Dad’s get forgotten about when it comes to caring for our kids. Below are two Dad’s that have great involvement in their kid’s lives. That is something I strive to do as well. I highly respect any father that goes above and beyond the normal “Dad” duties.
Websites for Dad’s
Daddoes.com - The Place Where Dads Do Things and Review Things.
A great site that reviews all the latest and greatest toys. This is a great site for finding a great toy or game for your little guy or gal.
Daddysdown.com – A blog about life, kids and fatherhood. Has anyone seen my coffee mug.
I really enjoy this blog. He has some great posts about what its like to be Dad along with some great examples of things not to do as a Dad. The think I like the best is his weekly Datificates. My kids love this idea and cannot wait to try them out.
Dads4life.org - Because They Follow Our Lead
This is a site that I follow on Twitter. They are a non-profit organization that exist to provide Fathers of all ages, races, religion or cultures the support, education and information to enhance their lives and change the future of our nation.
